Welcome to Auxerre! 🏛️ Saint Germain Abbey is one of Auxerre's major heritage sites. With over 1600 years of history, Saint Germain Abbey has stood the test of time and remains a landmark for visitors. The virtual reality abbey is a way of visiting the monastic site as it was in the 18th century. Thanks to computer-generated imagery, visitors can explore areas that have now been destroyed. During this tour, you'll discover how the Abbey has evolved over the centuries to become a major heritage site in Auxerre. Orange and Rendr worked together to create a computer-generated image reconstruction of the roof of the current forecourt of the Abbey, before it was destroyed in 1811. This is a demonstration.
